What You Can Expect

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Product and Technical Design teams with assistance in the following areas of development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of GTMs product assortment lines.

Stuff You Get To Do

Provide support and assistance for the technical designer(s) and fabric/color analyst.

Understand the latest in fabric, color, style trends and consumer insights to create concepts that provide aesthetic apparel and performance innovation.

Attend all fit sessions and provides feedback on overall end look of garments.

Help provide initial direction for fit and development of garment designs as well as re-engineering to accommodate price points or embellishment provisions.

Aids in the creation of fit comments and communicates fit corrections to overseas vendors and manufacturers.

Adjust patterns for fit and construction changes, using flat pattern-making skills, draping, and/or pattern software.

Provide support to the Product Design team in helping with the creation and organization of concept materials and processes.

Some Things We Will Consider

Bachelors degree in an apparel related field of study, or related business field required

Working knowledge of line planning required.

Extreme attention to detail required and a proven ability to established and maintain schedules and deadlines.

Ability to work on a diverse assortment of product categories.

Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Illustrator)

Ability to gather appropriate input and make clear, well-reasoned decisions.

Comfortable with a team-based work structure; ability to remain flexible to change within the work environment and scope of responsibility.

Resourceful and well organized, works will under pressure, able to multi-task.

Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility.
